How it works

  1. Record the debt

From the customer record, note what they owe for and how much, with an optional due date and notes.

  2. Record payments as they come

Log each payment as cash, transfer or POS, in full or in part. The balance updates each time.

  3. See who still owes you

Filter by outstanding, partial or settled, and see your total outstanding and what you have recovered.

Frequently asked questions

What is a debt ledger?

A record of who owes your business money, how much they owe and what they have paid so far. It replaces the notebook.

How do I record a debt?

Open the customer record and choose Record Debt. Enter what it is for and the amount, and add a due date or notes if you want to.

Can customers pay in parts?

Yes. Record each part payment as it comes. The balance goes down each time, and the debt moves from outstanding to partial to settled.

How do I know who still owes me?

Open the debt ledger and filter by outstanding or partial. You also see your total outstanding at the top of the page.

Can I see what I have recovered?

Yes. The recovered total at the top of the ledger shows how much of your credit has been paid back.

Can I record how the customer paid?

Yes. Choose cash, transfer or POS for each payment and add a note if you like.

Can I delete a debt?

Yes. Zerrar asks you to confirm before it deletes a debt, so a wrong tap does not remove it.

Which plans include debt tracking?
