The Story
From a problem we lived, to a platform we built
In 2023, we watched a close friend run her Lagos fashion business from three phone apps, a notebook, and sheer willpower. She was generating serious revenue every month — and drowning in operational chaos.
Every order was a WhatsApp message. Every payment was a bank transfer she confirmed manually. Every delivery was a phone call to a courier. She had no customer records, no inventory system, no idea which products were actually profitable.
We knew this wasn't unique to her. Across Nigeria and Africa, hundreds of thousands of merchants were running the same playbook. The tools existed — Shopify, Stripe, Klaviyo — but they were built for Western markets, Western currencies, and Western customers.
Nothing existed for the merchant in Lagos dealing in Naira, shipping to Abuja, selling across WhatsApp and Instagram simultaneously, and needing a courier who actually shows up.
